Over the past few weeks, various tech sites all over the web have posted rumors about LG’s upcoming V30 flagship phone. But despite these unwanted leaks, the South Korean mobile company kept everything under wraps and waited for the right time to come. And it just did because a few days ago, LG has officially announced that they will soon be releasing their flagship V30 phone. Not only that, they also confirmed one popular rumor that got everyone excited.
Last Friday, LG revealed that they will soon be releasing their next flagship phone. According to reports, the LG V30 will be formally unveiled at the upcoming IFA show in Berlin by the end of this month. A bold move considering the fact that it will happen only one week after Samsung unveils their newest flagship unit, the Galaxy Note 8. But aside from the release date, more juicy information about the V30 was also released and it also answered one popular rumor about its screen.
Less than a week after Samsung Galaxy Note 8’s screen specification got leaked, LG confirmed that the V30 will have a FullVision OLED display. This will be their first phone to have an OLED type of screen since they released LG GFlex2 back in 2015. According to the President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Jun Cho, the company’s expertise on OLED technology will help their handsets fair better in the constantly-fierce Smartphone competition.
A recently leaked photo showed that the V30 looks a lot like its predecessor, the V20. But various changes have been noted such as the logo being moved to the back, smaller top& bottom bezels and a bigger screen. It can also be remembered that famous leaker Evan Bless released an image last May showing what looks like a second display. These rumors, however, will remain unconfirmed until LG fully unveils the V30 in Berlin later this month.
