The XA Ultra is certainly one of the bigger phones we’ve seen recently. Coming in at around 192 grams it has some weight to it too. Not a phone by any means, a phablet for sure, if not on the verge of being an actual tablet.
Dimensions aside , it comes in looking like every other Sony product, it’s a rectangle. It does offer solid protection by means of a metal frame, with the display up front almost practically popping out of it. The rest of the phone appears to be made of polycarbonate.
To the right, Sony has positioned the volume rocker and power key, a plus in my opinion as it makes both easily accessible even when you’re holding this gigantic phone with one hand.
Nothing much different from its predecessors, except perhaps the eye up front for the selfie camera. The Lime Gold seems to be trying to hard, I’d stick with good old fashion black and white on this one. It’s already calling enough attention to itself.
