Unlocked S8 and S8+ Units for International Travelers
One of the biggest downsides to traveling abroad is the fact that you have to deal with hefty roaming charges if you want to call or text your friends and loved ones back in America. For years, people have dealt with these expensive roaming fees just to be in touch with the ones that are important to them. Thankfully, popular mobile manufacturing company Samsung has finally taken the lead and started offering unlocked S8 and S8+ plus units that can cater to different types of international cellular networks, making it possible for users to dodge the expensive roaming charges that they usually get to encounter.
Just last Tuesday, the mobile giant announced that the preorder period for the unlocked versions of their latest S8 and S8 plus handsets has begun. Samsung’s unlocked phones are said to be compatible with both CDMA and GSM networks, two of the biggest and widely used wireless mobile connections used by many countries. By doing this, Samsung users will no longer have to pay for expensive roaming fees and they won’t also have to buy a new Smartphone if they need to use a different network. Aside from that, they can also avail the cheapest local mobile services in whatever country that they’re in.
According to Tim Baxter, Samsung Electronics America’s president and chief operating officer, the combination of the amazing features present in the Galaxy S8 series and the perks of having an unlocked phone gave them the chance to provide customers with more choices and convenience when it comes to their smartphone needs. Unlocked versions of Samsung Galaxy 8 and Samsung Galaxy S+ will be sold exclusively at Samsung.com, Best Buy stores and Bestbuy.com this May 31, 2017 with price tags of $725 and $825 respectively.
